The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) certificate program will prepare individuals to deliver services to children and youth with ASD Diagnoses. The program will offer professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, contact with resource specialists and more. 

The Autism Spectrum Foundations course provides a comprehensive introduction to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and offers students a deep understanding of the core concepts, characteristics, and challenges associated with the condition Through a blend of theoretical frameworks, practical insights, and experiential learning; students will explore how autism manifests, its impact on individuals across the lifespan, and evidence-based strategies for supporting individuals with ASD in various settings.

The Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate Program consists of five courses (15 credits) designed to prepare students to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This program is career-oriented; however, the transfer of credits is at the discretion of the receiving college or university.

Students must have a high school diploma or possess a GED. 

How long will it take for me to complete this program? 
Program may be completed within one year (2 semesters). Students must complete Early Care and Education Field Experience.
