Youth Programs
Youth Programs make a difference in the lives of many children from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. The Saturday Youth Program provides academic and personal enrichment courses for elementary through high school children for 10 weeks. The program is designed to promote a positive atmosphere for learning, which facilitates improvement in student behavior and achievement. The Summer Youth Program operates for 6 weeks during July and August for ages 6-13 providing academic instruction, recreation, and cultural indoor and outdoor activities, through a fun-filled academic program that is challenging, creative and non-competitive.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TO COLLEGE (M2C)

Using the experience of the College’s Dual Enrollment Program, ECC has engaged the Newark Board of Education’s middle school students by offering after-school and/or Saturday morning programming that promotes career exploration, stimulates awareness of postsecondary opportunities and bolsters educational attainment beyond middle and secondary school. All activities are intentional and serve the purpose to promote deeper student engagement.
Activities and services are promoted and publicized in collaboration with designed target schools and are specifically structured in order to promote retention and motivate students to complete middle and secondary schools, and to enroll in a program of postsecondary education
Each student will receive a narrative driven progress report at the end of the program. A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Middle School administration for its records.
