CMS 110  Fundamentals of TV Production  (3 Credits)  

This course serves as an introduction to broadcasting. Topics covered include basic production, audio systems equipment, camera techniques, lighting and video switching, master control, editing/rendering, and studio/field operations.

Pre-requisites: (Write Placer Essay with a score of 1 and Reading (Next-Gen) with a score of 200)

CMS 113  Screenwriting  (3 Credits)  

Students will be introduced to the study and development of the screenwriting process with emphasis on craft, the exploration of voice, and the acquisition of constructive critiquing skills.

CMS 121  Fundamentals of Filmmaking  (3 Credits)  

This course serves as an introduction to filmmaking. Topics covered include producing techniques, writing, cinematography, directing, and editing/rendering.

CMS 136  Audio Production  (3 Credits)  

This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of audio production. Students will learn basic audio recording and editing procedures and gain a theoretical understanding of the role of the audio engineer in a global context.
